Betrayal, you’re no Obsession
But don’t worry, I still have a place in my heart for you. Just not nearly at the level of Obsession.
I have to admit, with nothing to go on except the title, I was feeling mighty nervous about this book. Betrayal? Who was betraying who? More importantly, was Noah betraying Paige?!?
Sadly, my suspicions were correct, as this book has Paige fleeing into the arms of Malcolm. The weird thing is, instead of being outraged like I thought I was going to be, I understood. Instead of taking the easy route and writing this love triangle in black and white, Siona took the time to write the relationships realistically. I was able to put myself in Paige’s position when I couldn’t before.
There was a ton of backstory in this book, and while I appreciate getting to know the full history of the story and of the minor characters, I missed the character development of the main characters.
All right, I just missed Noah and Paige making out. You happy?
Betrayal probably ranks in third for me, behind Obsession and Birth, and ahead of Love. That being said, I’m waiting on pins and needles for book five!!

Like an addict about to get her fix
We’ve been waiting for what seems like ages, but the day is finally here! After a year of slow torture (plus a lot of lively speculation and fabulous fan fiction), Betrayal is finally released tonight at midnight!
There have been a few copies that were mistakenly leaked out a day early, so I’ve been trying my hardest to pry myself from the other fans and blog sites in case some person decides it’s badass to post spoilers. As you can imagine, it’s been TOUGH, and I really couldn’t have done it without Luci. You’d think we’d just be enablers, but she’s been kicking my butt if I even think about going online (yeah, I don’t know how she does it either). HUGS!
Like last time, we will be in line for the midnight release, but we will be at a different one this time. Sadly, the Borders at Spring Creek is currently closed for mall renovation, but the good news is, we’ll be at the brand spankin’ new Barnes & Noble in Cedar Oaks. Thankfully, the weather has also been cooperating, as I’m still recovering from the lovely the heat wave we had last year.
Anyway, see you all there! I’ll be wearing a red hoodie and gold flats in case you want to say hi!
