Book Two is Love!
Literally! (groan)
Sorry, I had to go there. Anyway.
So, it’s two days later, and I haven’t showered or groomed (I know, TMI) since I cracked open the amazingness that is book two. I just finished it, and while I definitely think that Siona has written another great book, it just doesn’t live up to what book one was for me.
Don’t get me wrong… I loved it, but part of the magic of book one was the relationship between Noah and Paige. And while there was plenty of backstory and lots of new things that we learned about the vampire world, I just couldn’t stand that Noah and Paige were fighting. Paige acting all passive/aggressive around him and ignoring him? I’ve always been on Paige’s side, but during those few chapters, I wanted to kill her. Add Malcolm (aka “Third Wheel”) to the mix, and everything that was great about book one was lost.
Things that I did love:
- The Noah/Paige conversation in the woods. Call me a hopeless romantic, but when Noah told Paige exactly how he feels about her, I swooned. And probably re-read that passage about 10 times.
- The HOTTT makeout scene right afterwards. I probably re-read that part about 20 times. Come on, admit it. You did too.
- Noah completely taking out the mugger in one fell swoop. I’m not a fan of the crazy violent parts, but it’s Noah protecting Paige.
What did you love/hate about the newest book?

I need to calm down before I submit a real post. I’m too angry right now. Love Siona. DO NOT love the way some of her characters behave. Before I go on an insane rant for all of cyberspace to see, I will at that and return to share my thoughts when I can express them calmly and rationally.
ps… I still think Noah can do better.

Corbin is dedicated, I must admit, but I purchased three copies of Confessions: Love. One for reading and tattering up, one never to be touched by human hands other than mine and the other for friends and family who will obviously ask me if they can borrow my book. Cardinal Sin number one, giving your book away.
It was great meeting with everyone, but I was just anxious to get the book home and tear into it. More later when it has been completely consumed.

Just got back from the bookstore with two copies of “Love”, one for reading/destroying, and one for just keeping in immaculate condition (shut up!).
It was definitely lovely meeting you all, and I had a blast recounting all of our favorite moments! See you on the other side!

21 hours, 37 minutes, 15 seconds is more accurate now. Corbin and I are indeed going to head down to our local Borders. I am looking forward to finally getting my hands on the book. I need to know what happens with Noah and Paige even though I have been privy to some pretty reliable spoilers. I am looking forward to meeting some amazing local followers of our blog.
I am not looking forward to screaming fangirls who don’t fully appreciate SMs wonderful writing, but who are just showing up because they think its “cool” to be out at midnight.
We will report back.

The second book comes out in exactly 23 hours, 14 minutes, 26 seconds!!1!
In a few hours, Luci and I are going to head over to the local Borders for a midnight release party. If you live near the Borders at the Spring Creek Galleria, come on down and introduce yourself! I’ll be wearing black Vampires T-shirt, dark jeans, and hot pink flats.
I look forward to meeting you all!
